
Rochester Police Arrest Man Accused of Threatening His Neighbors with a Gun
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester police have arrested a man accused of brandishing a gun during a gathering with his neighbors.

Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers responded to the report of a man acting unusual with a gun around 10:15 Thursday night.
Police reported finding the suspect laying in the grass next to the firearm.

Rochester Man Accused of Pointing Loaded Shotgun at Neighbors Found Laying in Grass
Officers responded to the incident in the 1900 block of 50th St. Northwest. The suspect was identified as 64-year-old Darrel Schroeder of Rochester.
Neighbors told police Schroder was at their gathering when he left then returned with a gun. When he returned he pointed the firearm at the neighbors, according to the police report.
The gun found next to Schroeder on the grass was a loaded shotgun, Grayson said.
Schroeder was formally charged today with felony counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and terroristic threats. His conditional bail was set at $5000 and his next court appearance was scheduled in July.
