Semi Truck Catches Fire in Rochester Hotel Parking Lot
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Fire Department fought a semi truck fire on Thursday.
Limited information is available, however a post on the department’s Facebook page that was published around midnight indicates the fire happened in the parking lot of a Rochester hotel on Thursday evening.
Firefighters responded to the truck fire at the Best Western Hotel near the Apache Mall at 1517 16th Ave. Southwest. Officials say responding crews were able to quickly put out the flames.
Firefighters then searched the cab for occupants. No injuries were reported.
The fire department says the flames did not spread from the truck to other vehicles or other property.
A damage estimate is not available, however a photo taken by the fire department at the scene shows the fire damaged the front half of the truck and spread into the cab.
No other damages were reported. The status of efforts to determine the cause of the fire has not been released.
