Senator Ted Cruz Is Top Choice Of Minnesota Republicans

Monticello, MN (Learfield) -- A straw poll taken at the Saturday meeting of the Minnesota Republican State Central Committee Saturday gives Texas Senator Ted Cruz a big lead among the party's candidates for president.

Cruz led the 14-person field with 90 votes. Second-place finisher, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, got 46.

Former Hewlett-Packard C-E-O Carly Fiorina was third, with Donald Trump fourth. Minnesota is one of 12 states which will be holding a primary election or party caucus on Super Tuesday, March 1st.
