Sexual Assault Conviction Sends Rochester Man to Prison
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A sexual assault conviction has resulted in a prison sentence for a Rochester man.
According to Olmsted County Court records, 29-year-old Alex Allen Schneider was arrested in July 2023 on an arrest warrant. The court document charged him with sexually assaulting a juvenile girl while he was an overnight guest at her home following a birthday party.

According to the criminal complaint, after the victim reported the assault, investigators learned that Schneider had allegedly confessed to her family and told one person, "it just happened…I just messed up."
Schneider was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Under the terms of a plea agreement reached last October, he entered a guilty plea to one of the charges.
His sentencing hearing was held this morning in Olmsted County Court, and Schneider was ordered to serve a five year prison term. He has also been ordered to register as a predatory offender and will be on conditional release for 10 years after the completion of his prison sentence.
