Six Arrested in Rochester Prostitution Crackdown
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester police arrested six people Tuesday as part of a prostitution crackdown.

Police Captain Case Moilanen said the police department worked with the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office and Safe Harbor, an agency that helps sexually-exploited youth, to investigate prostitution activity. All six of the arrests occurred at the same location and suspects could face charges for engaging in prostitution.
Moilanen did not disclose the location of the arrests. The arrested suspects were identified as:
- Russell Hodge, 46, Hayfield
- Justin Hitt, 29, Pine Island
- David Thorland, 68, Thompson, IA
- Thomas Klees, 43, Rochester
- Darryl Franklin, 54, Rochester
- Arnaldo Mercado-Perez, 27, Rochester
Moilanen says the Rochester Police Department will periodically conduct the crackdowns to discourage prostitution activity in Rochester. He said the suspects were booked and released from the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center.
