Social Media Threat Towards Rochester School Deemed Not Credible
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A threat made towards a Rochester middle school was deemed not credible.

That’s according to an email sent to parents and caregivers of students at Dakota Middle School.
Principal Teri Linander said administrators were made aware of a threat posted to social media by a person believed to be a student at the school on Friday.

Administrators, the Rochester Police Department, Dakota’s School Resource Officer and the Office of School Support investigated the threat and determined there was no danger to the school, students and staff, the email said.
Linander thanked the individuals who reported the social media post to trusted adults and said all potential threats made towards the Dakota Middle School Community are taken seriously.
