Fire Torches Greenhouse on Deck of Rochester Home
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester firefighters fought a greenhouse fire that broke out on the deck of a home.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Rochester Fire Department. The fire was reported shortly before 7:00 on Saturday evening.
Crews were dispatched to the blaze at a home in the 2700 block of Knollwood Dr. Southeast. Arriving fire fighters found smoke coming from a greenhouse situated on a deck in the back of the home.

Firefighters began extinguishing the fire from the outside and at the same time conducted a search of the interior. No one was found inside and the fire was put out before it could spread to the home, the news release says.
No injuries were reported. The greenhouse suffered what was described as extensive damage. The cause of the fire is not available.
Five fire engines and one truck were deployed to the scene. A fire marshal and battalion chief also responded.
The Rochester Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance were also at the fire scene.
