South Korean Hospital Joins Mayo Network
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Mayo Clinic Care Network has picked up another international affiliate.
The Myongji Hospital is located in what could be considered a suburb of Seoul and is the first in South Korea to join the network of affiliated healthcare providers. The 550-bed Myongji Hospital in Goyang was founded in 1987 and is staffed by nearly 250 doctors and over 450 nurses.
The Mayo network now has 7 international members along with nearly 40 member hospitals and medical centers in the U.S. Membership in the network gives the select group of independent healthcare systems special access to the Mayo Clinic’s expertise and resources.
