Alaska Health Care System Joins Mayo Network
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Mayo Clinic Care Network is expanded into Alaska.
Foundation Health Partners and the Mayo Clinic today announced the Fairbanks-based healthcare system is the latest organization to join the network, which provides affiliated hospitals and clinics access to Mayo’s expertise and resources.
Foundation Health Partners operates the 152 bed Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, a separate clinic and a long-term care center.
“Foundation Health Partners is excited to have this relationship with Mayo Clinic,” says Jeff Cook, president, Foundation Health Partners. “The advantage of being an independent health system is that we can seek out and collaborate with the best resources – such as this arrangement with Mayo – to provide enhanced patient care in Fairbanks and for interior Alaska.”
The Mayo Clinic Care Network currently has over 40 members spread across nearly 30 states, along with Mexico, Philippines, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.
