Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash involving a stalled vehicle on Hwy. 52 in Rochester sent a young man to the hospital.

The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle collision shortly after 6:00 Saturday evening.

20-Year-Old Rochester Man Injured After His Stalled Vehicle was Struck on Hwy. 52

A northbound car had stalled in the middle lane of northbound Hwy. 52 near the 41st St. NW interchange. The stopped vehicle was then struck by a northbound minivan, according to the state crash report. 


20-year-old William Wallace Nigbur of Rochester was identified as the car driver. He was brought from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says. 

21-year-old Lucas Samuel Diekvoss of Rochester was riding in the car. He escaped the crash without injuries, according to the State Patrol.

The other driver also was not hurt in the crash. The State Patrol identified him as 21-year-old Ibrahim Alkhalil Yahia Ibrahim of Rochester. 

Alcohol was not involved in the crash and Nigbur was the only person not wearing a seatbelt, the state crash report says. 

Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Rochester Police Department also responded to the crash.
