State Patrol ID’s Pedestrian Killed at Minnesota Intersection
Baxter, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol has identified the pedestrian who was killed at a northern Minnesota intersection earlier this week.

The report, updated on Friday, says a woman was fatally struck as she was crossing Hwy. 371 at an intersection in Baxter.
The deadly incident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday. The report does not say who had the right of way.
The pedestrian has been identified as 61-year-old Ludivina Quiton Wirtz from Baxter. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The report says Wirtz was crossing the four-lane highway from east to west when she was hit by a pick-up truck that was traveling north.
The pick-up driver, 45-year-old Anthony Joseph Sobiech of Pierz, MN, was not hurt. The crash report says alcohol was not involved in the deadly incident and indicates the road was dry.
