
Vehicle Fatally Strikes Pedestrian At Busy Minnesota Intersection
Update: State Patrol ID's Pedestrian Killed at Minnesota Intersection
Baxter, MN (KROC-AM News)- A pedestrian crossing a busy northern Minnesota intersection lost her life after being struck by a pick-up truck.

The fatal incident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. It happened in the Brainerd/Baxter Area.
The State Patrol incident report says a pedestrian was crossing Hwy. 371 from east to west at the highway’s intersection with Woida Rd. in Baxter when she was fatally struck by a northbound pick-up.
The pedestrian is being described as a 61-year-old woman from Baxter. The State Patrol plans to release her name Friday afternoon.
The pick-up driver has been identified as 45-year-old Anthony Joseph Sobiech of Pierz, MN. He was not hurt.
The state crash report says the road was dry and alcohol was not involved in the deadly incident.
