
Statewide Missing Endangered Person Alert Issued for Vulnerable Minnesota Man
Askov, MN (KROC-AM News)- Officials have issued a statewide endangered missing person alert for a vulnerable Minnesota man.

The Minnesota BCA issued the alert around 8 p.m. Thursday. He has not been seen since last week.
The subject of the alert is 86-year-old Gerald Knapp. Authorities say he suffers from dementia.
Knapp was last spotted around 10 a.m. on Jan. 28 leaving Askov, which is about 100 miles due north of the Twin Cities Metro. The alert says he was driving a red 2020 Ford Escape with Minnesota plate FVP429 south on County Rd. 142.

His travel destination is unknown, however authorities say he could be somewhere in northeastern Pine County or southwestern Douglas County in Wisconsin.
Knapp is described as 5’5”, 160 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. A description of the clothes he could be wearing is not available.
Anyone who may have seen Knapp or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Pine County Sheriff’s Office at 320-629-8380.
