19-Year-Old Man Arrested for Brooklyn Park Murder, MN of Stewartville Man
On Friday, Brooklyn Park Police announced the arrest of 19-year-old Marquan Deshawn Tucker, following the execution of multiple warrants related to the murder investigation.
The criminal complaint says investigators tied the Coon Rapids man to the fatal shooting through a vehicle, reported stolen out of Minneapolis, that was seen leaving the scene after the gunfire.
The charges indicate Tucker fired 16 rounds at Blue and the other shooting victims, who returned fire during the gun fight.
Authorities also obtained Tucker’s cell phone location data which put him at the scene of murder during the exchange of gunfire, the court document says.
Court records indicate the shooting that claimed the life of the Stewartville man occurred about seven months after Tucker was released from monitoring in connection with a juvenile court conviction tied to a 2022 shooting in Hennepin County.
Tucker is charged with three counts of second-degree murder and a count of drive-by shooting towards a person. He is due to make his first appearance in Hennepin County Court Monday afternoon.
