Rural NE Rochester Crash Sends 9-Year-Old, Two Teens to Hospital
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two teenagers and a 9-year-old girl were injured in a two-vehicle crash just northeast of Rochester Friday afternoon.
The State Patrol says the collision occurred just before 3:30 PM along Highway 63/75th Street at the intersection with 20th Avenue Northeast in Farmington Township. The preliminary crash report indicates two SUVs were traveling west on Highway 63 when they collided.
A 17-year-old girl, whose name has not been released, was driving one of the SUVs and had two passengers. The State patrol identified them as 14-year-old Brody Stahosky and 9-year-old Chloe Stahosky of Zumbrota.
All three were transported to St. Mary's Hospital. The 14-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, while information about the extent of the injuries sustained by the teenage driver is unavailable.
The driver of the second SUV, 41-year-old Natalie Bacon of Rochester, was not hurt.
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Rochester Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the crash.
