The witness told police that the victim attempted to walk away, however Kenneh followed him and began assaulting him. The witness reported seeing the victim knocked to the ground and told police it appeared that teeth had been knocked out of his mouth.

The charges say an officer responding to the incident spotted Kenneh, who immediately began raising his arms, getting on the ground in the prone position, and placing his hands behind his back when the officer stopped his squad car. When he the officer asked why he had blood on his knuckles, the criminal complaint says Kenneh responded that he had just attacked someone and "I just beat him for no reason!" Sunglasses belonging to the victim were found in his possession.
