Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Stewartville man who was arrested Sunday for assaulting a woman was arraigned Tuesday and ordered not to have contact with the victim.

He was released from jail around 1:30 PM Tuesday and several hours later was back behind bars for violating the judge’s order.

Several witnesses called 911 Tuesday evening to report seeing 28-year-old Rogers Mochama with the woman at her apartment complex. He was gone when deputies arrived.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Capt. Scott Behrns says the woman refused to cooperate and was taken into custody when it was learned she was wanted on a warrant. Behrns says a person was contacted to take custody of the woman’s two young children. But that person was also arrested on a warrant. Another person was eventually contacted and took custody of the kids.
