Deputies from the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to a past-action report of a burglary in Stewartville on May 20, 2022.
A staff member reported two men had entered the building around 1 a.m. on April 30, 2022 and stole a laptop, iPad and other property. The stolen items were valued at an estimated y $1,332, the criminal complaint says.
The staff member also turned over security footage of the burglary to investigators. The footage indicated the burglars appeared to know their way around the building, the court document says.
Last October an investigator interviewed 21-year-old Brandon Paul Woessner as part of a follow-up related to the burglary investigation. The complaint says Woessner admitted to breaking into the school and stealing the items with another person.
The name of the person and the school broken into is not listed in the complaint.
Woessner was charged Thursday with felony counts of second-degree burglary and theft.
Woessner was also charged with felony first-degree property damage Thursday in connection with a vandalism case at Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester.
He’s due to make his first appearance in both cases next month.
