Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was transported to St. Marys Hospital this morning with injuries suffered in a weather-related crash near Rochester.

The State Patrol says 31-year-old Sabreena Michel of Luverne was a passenger in an SUV that was involved in a three-vehicle collision on eastbound Highway 14 around 8:35 AM. The State Patrol report on the incident indicates the roadway was covered by snow and ice when the SUV, a van, and a pickup truck made contact about halfway between Rochester and Byron.

The woman's injuries were described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the SUV was identified as 35-year-old Eric Michel of Luverne. He and the couple's four-year-old son were not hurt.

A Kasson man, 47-year-old Christopher Kohn was driving the van and 40-year-old Rodrigo Macias of Fond du Lac Wisconsin was behind the wheel of the pickup. They were also not injured. The State Patrol noted that all five people involved in the crash were using seatbelts.

The State Patrol responded to 20 crashes in the Rochester District between 5 AM and 10 AM today. The Highway 14 crash was the only one that resulted in an injury. The State Patrol also received reports on 17 vehicles that ran off the road and there were seven reports of jackknifed semi-trucks.
