Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department is reporting an arrest has been made in connection with the investigation into the murder of a Rochester man in early March.

Sheriff’s Department Captain Scott Behrns says deputies took 23-year-old Ayub Iman into custody Wednesday morning as a suspect in the shooting death of 28-year-old Garad Hassan Roble. His body was found in the early morning of March 5th along a rural road on the southeast edge of Rochester near the Shoppes on Maine retail complex. An autopsy determined his death was the result of multiple gunshot wounds and Iman is expected to be formally charged today with Aiding an Offender for 2nd-degree murder.

Behrns, who previously said investigators suspected that a number of people were involved in the homicide, says the investigation remains very active and due to the complexities of the case the Sheriff’s office is limited in what it can say at this time. Behrns did state investigators have strong reason to believe that certain persons who have relationships with Iman may have knowledge of the homicide. He is strongly urging those people to come forward with any information they might have.

Behrns also noted, that due to conflicting relationships that Iman has with current detainees in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center, is being held in the Goodhue County jail.
