Teen Boy Dies in Rural Minnesota Multi-Vehicle Crash
Park Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of a Minnesota teenager.

A news release issued by the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office Thursday says the deadly crash occurred around 6:30 Tuesday evening. Three vehicles were involved in the fatality.
The deadly crash happened on Hubbard County Rd. 4 in Lake Emma Township, which is about 10 miles north of Park Rapids.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 16-year-old boy from Park Rapids was driving an SUV that was parked at a mailbox then attempted a turn into a driveway when his vehicle was struck by an oncoming pick-up truck that was driven by a 16-year-old boy from Nevis.
A 15-year-old passenger riding in the pick-up was severely injured and removed from the vehicle. While the teen was outside of the vehicle, a second pick-up came up to the area and struck the injured boy along with the first pick-up at the scene, the news release says.
The 15-year-old was taken to a Park Rapids hospital then transported to a hospital in Fargo where he died from his injuries. His name has not been released.
Authorities identified the driver of the second pick-up as 62-year-old Gregory Forbord of Moorhead, MN. He and a passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The 16-year-old SUV driver was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene. An 18-year-old passenger in the first pick-up, identified as Gunder Nelson of Park Rapids, was taken to a hospital for treatment of a knee and foot injury.
The names of the other teens involved in the deadly crash have not been released.
