Authorities on Wednesday identified the man as D'Andrea Sanvig of Luck, WI. A post on the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page says search and rescue teams used thermal imagery and drones to search during night-time hours and plan to refocus their search area during the day.

Authorities are describing the search conditions in and around the river as difficult and dangerous. They’re also asking anyone hiking throughout the St. Croix River trails between Taylors Falls and Osceola to contact 911 if they see anything suspicious.
