Light snow is expected across the region for most of the day. The main concern for the first half of the day will be blowing snow which will create extremely poor visibility. Travel becomes extremely difficult late this afternoon and into the evening when heavy snow is expected. The National Weather Service has provided an update on the snowstorm that is going to hit southeast Minnesota on Friday, December 10th. Winter Storm Warning for Dodge, Wabasha and Olmsted Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Dodge, Wabasha, and Olmsted counties from 9am Friday until 6am on Saturday.
Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
The NWS says, "Travel could be very difficult to impossible." If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency."
