HIBBING, Minn. (AP) — A trial in underway for a Hibbing priest accused of molesting four girls.

The Hibbing Daily Tribune reports that 30-year-old Brian Lederer is charged with four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to the Pioneer Press, pleas of not guilty were entered for Lederer on Nov. 30.

Three of the girls testified in court Wednesday. They allege that Lederer touched them inappropriately on more than one occasion at Assumption Catholic School. The incidents occurred during the 2014-2015 school year. Lederer was arrested and charged on May 7, 2015.

Prosecutors also say another incident took place in a residence and others happed on a school bus.

Lederer's attorney, Peter Wold, said the allegations may be based on misperception or a misunderstanding.
