St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Governor Tim Walz today announced curfews will be enforced in Minneapolis and St. Paul for at least another two nights.

The curfew orders for tonight and Tuesday night will be in effect from 10 PM through 4 AM each day, which is four hours shorter than the curfews that were in effect a past three nights as law enforcement officers and National Guard soldiers worked to restore peace after the rioting, looting, and arson fires that occurred Thursday and Friday nights.

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety today reported there were 276 arrests yesterday and early today. Many of the arrests involved people facing misdemeanor charges for violating the curfew. Since the state emergency command of the response to the violence began on Friday there have been almost 500 arrests in the state's two largest cities.
