Twin Cities judge rejects appeal from Archdiocese

(St. Paul, MN)  --  A Ramsey County Judge has denied a request from the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis

and the Diocese of Winona to delay the release of names of priests who have been accused of sexual abuse since 2004. The judge also upheld the ruling that Archbishop John Nienstedt and former Vicar General Kevin McDonough will have to give sworn depositions in the civil lawsuit filed on behalf of a sexual abuse survivor, Doe 1, who claims he was abused by Father Thomas Adamson at St. Thomas Aquinas in St. Paul Park.  Plaintiff's attorney Jeff Anderson says the weekend decision reflects the urgency of the release of the information
