Two Dead in Apparent CO Poisoning Incident Near Duluth

RICE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. (AP) — St. Louis County authorities say a man and child have died 

and two teenagers are hospitalized after apparent carbon monoxide poisoning in a camper near Duluth.

WDIO-TV reports authorities say they found a 39-year-old man and an 11-year-old girl dead inside a camper Wednesday night in Rice Lake Township. They say a 15-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy were taken to a Duluth hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions weren't immediately available.

The Rice Lake Volunteer Fire Department says carbon monoxide levels in the camper were extremely high and a generator was found nearby.

Authorities are investigating.
