Two Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash at Rochester Intersection
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night.
Police Captain Casey Moilanen said officers responded to the crash at the intersection of 55th St. and Bandel Rd. in Northwest Rochester. The collision was reported around 10:45 p.m.
Moilanen said two men in an Acura were waiting to turn left onto 55th St. from Bandel Rd. when their vehicle was struck head-on by a vehicle turning off of 55th St. The driver of the Acura, described as a 37-year-old Rochester man, and a passenger, an 18-year-old man from Rochester, were transported from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
Moilanen said the men suffered non-life-threatening neck and chest injuries. Investigators do not yet have a description of the second vehicle involved in the hit-and--run crash.
Moilanen is asking anyone who knows anything about the crash or who may have witnessed the collision to contact the Rochester Police Department.
