Two Robbery Suspects Pulled Off Rochester Bus
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An unusual arrest was made in downtown Rochester Thursday.
Two suspects in a recent robbery were spotted on a Rochester Public Transit bus. As the bus began driving away, a squad car pulled in front of it and forced the driver to stop. Officers then apprehended the suspects.
Capt. John Sherwin says the two are suspected of plotting the robbery of a teenager at the Meadow Park Apartments complex last Sunday night.
The 18-year-old victim was confronted by a man after entering one of the buildings. The man indicated he had a gun and told the teenager to empty his pockets. The teenager says the man took his wallet and phone and walked away.
The victim told police he went to the complex to meet a female. Sherwin says the meeting was an apparent setup for the robbery.
