Unbuckled Southern Minnesotan Killed in Crash With Semi
New Richland, MN (KROC-AM News)- A New Richland man is dead as the result of a pick-up versus semi crash in Southern Minnesota’s Waseca County Wednesday morning.
The State Patrol received the report of the deadly crash shortly after 11 a.m. It happened along Hwy. 13 south of the intersection of Hwy. 30 near New Richland.
The state crash report indicated a southbound pick-up, driven by 58-year-old Scott Bernard Bolduan, and a northbound semi truck collided on the southbound shoulder of Hwy. 13. Bolduan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bolduan was not buckled up and its unknown if alcohol was involved in the deadly crash, the report says. The truck driver, identified as 35-year-old Darryn Turner Bullock of Dallas, North Carolina, suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Bullock was taken to a hospital in Owatonna for further treatment of his injuries. The report says he was buckled up.
Correction: A previous version of this story stated the pick-up was heading north and the semi was traveling south.
