Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -Friday’s Law Enforcement Memorial in Rochester has been relocated, due to the weather.

The event will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 400 5th Avenue SW.  It is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited.  It had been scheduled to be held at the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial.

As part of the National Police Week, citizens and law enforcement family members celebrate and honor those who “wear the badge and protect our communities.”

In Rochester, the Law Enforcement portion of the Government Center will be lined with decorative blue pinwheels as an expression of gratitude to those “who have served, those who paid the ultimate price and those currently serving and protecting us from behind the Thin Blue Line.”
