Goodview, MN (KROC-AM News)- A two-vehicle crash near Winona sent three people to the hospital Thursday evening.

The State Patrol incident report indicates a Ford Focus, driven by 18-year-old Jayden Jessie of Winona, was traveling south on Hwy. 61 and a GMC Terrain, operated by 53-year-old Melissa Markusen of St. Paul was traveling north on 61.

The two vehicles collided in northbound lanes of the intersection of Hwy. 61 and 54th Ave. shortly before 5:30 p.m. Markusen, a passenger in her vehicle, identified as 83-year-old Marie Markusen, and a 15-year-old Albert Lea girl riding in Jessie’s vehicle suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries and were checked into Winona Health for further treatment.

Jessie was not hurt. Troopers say everyone involved in the crash was buckled up. 

Alcohol has been ruled out as a contributing factor in causing the wreck. The Winona County Sheriff’s Office and Goodview Police Department also responded to the two-vehicle crash.
