Kassota, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have identified the victims of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in southern Minnesota earlier this week.

The crash happened Monday night at an intersection in the small town of Kasota, which sits across the Minnesota River from St. Peter in Le Sueur County. A man and woman on a motorcycle were killed when it and a minivan collided at the intersection. 

On Friday officials identified the motorcycle operator as 62-year-old Henry Kewatt of Mankato. The female passenger on the motorcycle has been identified as 29-year-old Danielle Alyssa Ranslow also from Mankato.

A news release from the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office says they were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash investigation indicates they were not wearing helmets.

 The driver of the van, identified as 74-year-old Linda Vogel, suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. The deadly crash remains under investigation, authorities say.
