The incident began after Blue Earth County issued an apprehension order for the suspect.

Man Wanted in Blue Earth County Captured After Throwing Knife at Officer, Rochester Police Say
Rochester police identified the wanted man as 20-year-old Kyle Walding. Grayson says dispatch received a report that Walding was at an apartment in the 1500 block of Marion Rd. Southeast.
He fled the residence on foot once officers arrived but returned to the apartment a few hours later and was armed with a knife, the police report says.
When officers returned to the apartment, they found Walding in the parking lot with a knife raised above his head. Grayson says officers tried to de-escalate the situation but Walding did not cooperate.
Walding instead threw the knife at the officers and fled for a second time. Grayson says the knife narrowly missed an officer.
Officers captured Walding a short distance from the apartment, police say.
Walding is currently being held at the Olmsted County Jail and is expected to face multiple second-degree assault charges, Grayson said. Walding’s first court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
The police report does not say what Walding was wanted for in Blue Earth County.
