Wanted Woman Accused of Fleeing Police at High Speeds in SE Rochester Neighborhood
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Attorney’s Office filed charges against a Rochester woman with an active arrest warrant in connection to a fleeing incident that occurred in southeast Rochester this past fall.

29-year-old Mickela Vredenburg was charged with a felony count of fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving Thursday. The charges accuse her of fleeing members of the Rochester Police Department.
The criminal complaint says officers went to an address associated with Vredenburg to serve a felony arrest warrant out of Olmsted County. Police reported seeing a vehicle, later determined to be driven by Vredenburg, leave the residence with a malfunctioning brake light.
The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over in the 800 block of 7th St. Southeast but Vredenburg kept driving the vehicle towards 9th Ave. Southeast. The vehicle then accelerated southbound on 9th Ave. Southeast at a speed the officer estimated to be 50 mph, according to the complaint.
Officers staged in the area saw the vehicle run stop signs and drive on the wrong side of the road during Vredenburg’s fleeing attempt. Police decided not to pursue Vredenburg due to the danger her driving conduct was posing to the community, the complaint says. Vredenburg has been summoned to appear in Olmsted County Court on February 16.
