Westbound I-90 Closed in Austin Due to Crash

Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - A traffic crash this afternoon has shut down a section of I-90 in Austin.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the westbound lanes of the freeway are currently closed to traffic between the Highway 218 interchange and the interchange at Oakland Avenue West. Officials are advising motorists to find an alternative route for the time being.

The Minnesota State Patrol has not released any information concerning the incident, but preliminary reports indicate that occurred near the Oakland Avenue West interchange around 2 PM.
