Wind Gusts Flip Semi-Truck in Southeastern Minnesota
Harmony, MN (KROC-AM News) - The strong winds that roared into southeastern Minnesota late this morning are being blamed for a semi-truck crash in Fillmore County.
The State Patrol says the semi-truck was traveling south on Highway 52 when strong winds knocked the rig on its side. The crash was reported around 1:20 PM about 2 miles north of Harmony.
28-year-old Marquis Devon McCoy from Chicago was driving the truck. The State Patrol says he had one passenger, identified as 34-year-old Ernesto Flores from Waukegan Illinois.
Both men were taken to a hospital in nearby Decorah, IA with non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office, Harmony Fire and Ambulance, and crews from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
