Lindstrom, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in east-central Minnesota are investigating a fatal fire.
The Lakes Area Police Department says its officers responded to a report of a fire Wednesday afternoon and discovered a woman dead inside an apartment that was filled with heavy smoke from a fire. The victim's name has not been released, but officials have said it's believed she was the resident of the apartment.
A news release says the small fire in the residence was put out before it could cause damage to the neighboring apartment units. An investigator from the State Fire Marshal's Office was called to the scene to determine the cause.
