
Victims Identified in Fatal Rochester House Fire
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The victims of a deadly house fire in Rochester last weekend have been identified.
The fire was reported late Friday night at a large single-family home in the 800 block of Fox Point Lane Southwest. The Rochester Fire Department reported that responding firefighters observed heavy smoke coming from the garage and main floor of the home, with flames visible along the roofline near the rear of the house when they arrived at the scene.

Victims Found in Garage
While fire crews were battling the flames from both the interior and exterior of the home, a search of the residence was conducted and the bodies of two adult men were located in the garage. They were removed from the burning structure, and life-saving efforts were attempted before both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office today identified the two deceased men as 60-year-old Gregory Dison and 60-year-old Duane Kari.
Both Men From Rochester
Obituaries published by Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home state that both men were from Rochester and that Dison was the owner of Dison’s Cleaners and Launderers in Rochester. His funeral is scheduled for January 23 at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life for Kari will take place on April 18 at Whistle Binkies on the Lake in Rochester.
Investigation Continues
The investigation into the cause of the fatal fire is being conducted by the Rochester Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office. At this time, neither agency has released the findings from that investigation.
