Prior Lake, MN (KROC-AM News)- A house fire in a Twin Cities suburb claimed the life of a Minnesota woman Sunday night.

A news release from the City of Prior Lake indicates the city's fire department responded to a house fire shortly before 10:30 p.m. The fire was reported by a neighbor.

Responding firefighters found the front of the home engulfed in flames. Fire crews reported knocking down and containing the fire several minutes after their arrival. 

Emergency crews then found an unresponsive woman inside of the home. First responders administered life-saving measures at the scene but the woman was pronounced dead. 

Her name has not been released. The woman’s body has been sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy that will determine her cause of death. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the deadly fire.
