Ramsey, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating an incident in a Minnesota park that appeared to have claimed the lives of a woman and two children.

A news release issued Tuesday morning by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a welfare check shortly before 10 a.m. Monday.
Upon arrival law enforcement found a dead woman and female child in a parked SUV.
A second child was also in the SUV and was suffering from injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities found the vehicle parked in Rum River Park in the City of Ramsey, which is about 30 miles north of Minneapolis.
The preliminary investigation indicates the incident is isolated and does not pose a threat to the public, according to the law enforcement.
The news release does not specify the type of injury the boy suffered and does not include details surrounding the deaths of the woman and girl.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, Ramsey Police Department and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
