
Wrong-Way Driver on I-90 Injured in Southeast Minnesota Crash With Semi
Houston, MN (KROC-AM News)- A wrong-way driver was taken to a hospital following a crash involving a semi in southeast Minnesota over the weekend.

An SUV collided with the semi on Interstate 90 in Winona County. The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 10:15 Sunday night.
The SUV was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of I-90 at the Hwy. 76 interchange, which is about six miles east of the Winona exit, when it collided with the eastbound semi, authorities say.
The state crash report identified the wrong-way driver as 27-year-old Isauro Itehua. The Atura, Maine man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in Winona for further care.

A 39-year-old Illinois man was driving the semi. He escaped the wrong-way crash without injuries.
Itehua was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision, the state report says.
Both drivers were buckled up. The Winona County Sheriff’s Office and Ridgeway Fire and Rescue also responded to the wrong-way crash.
