Wedding season is here, and there will no doubt be more than there usually are this year, after a ton of couples were forced to postpone their nuptials because of the COVID pandemic last year.

There's a lot that goes into planning a wedding. You have to find a venue, a photographer, someone to cater the food for the reception, a DJ, etc. All of that costs money and the expenses can add up pretty quickly. At the bottom of this story, you'll see how we want to help pay for the big day!

Wedding.com says there were 29,620 weddings in 2019 in Minnesota with the average couple spending $25,600 on their special day. That's insane, but believe it or not, it's way below the national average. The average cost of a wedding in the U.S. is $33,900 according to a study from The Knot.

*Those numbers are from 2019 when life was normal. Anyone that got married last year, during the strict pandemic restrictions, most likely had a scaled-down ceremony and reception which means it would have been less expensive.

Life is returning to normal which means bigger and more expensive weddings. The Knot says the average couple getting married in Minnesota will invite 180 guests. Couples will spend the most securing the perfect venue - the average price for that in Minnesota is just under $13,000!
