Golden Valley, MN (KROC-AM News) - A fiery crash in the Twin Cities has left a young man with life-threatening injuries.

The Golden Valley Police Department says it is officers responded early Saturday to a report of a vehicle crash and came upon a vehicle that was down an embankment leading to a creek and fully engulfed in flames. The driver was located outside of the vehicle in the nearby creek suffering from severe burns.

Initial reports from the scene indicated the vehicle had struck some powerlines before bursting into flames. Those reports also indicated the 23-year-old victim had third-degree burns on 90 percent of his body.

A news release says he was transported to a local hospital. Updated information about his medical condition is not available.
