Youth Sports Team Was Near Scene Of Rochester Park Shooting
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - More information has been released about a shooting Friday evening that took place at a Rochester park.
Police say it happened around 6:00 pm in the parking lot of Martin Luther King Park, near the Federal Medical Center.
Police say there was a group of people in three different vehicles in the lot when 4 - 7 shots were fired.
A 21-year-old Rochester man was the only apparent victim. He was driven to St Marys and dropped off. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Police say he may have been in one of the vehicles when he was injured.
Police say there were other people in the park and a youth lacrosse team was also practising across the street at the time of the shooting.
As of Monday morning, no arrests had been made.
