Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released the name of the young man who died in a crash near Zumbrota Thursday morning that left a Rochester man with life-threatening injuries. 22-year-old Austin Tolle of Rosemount was fatally injured when he lost control of his car on southbound Highway 52 and it slid through the median before colliding with a northbound car driven by 76-year-old Cletus Pfeiffer of Rochester.

Both men were transported to St. Marys Hospital following the crash. Tolle died at the hospital, while Pfeiffer is listed in serious condition this morning.

The State Patrol says the highway was covered by snow when the crash occurred just before 6 AM.
