10 Percent of Minnesotans Have Had a COVID Vaccine Shot
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The latest statistics provided by the state health department indicate roughly 10 percent of Minnesota residents have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The most up to date count put the total at just under 570,000. Just over 162,000 Minnesotans have been given both shots of the vaccine. In Olmsted County, just over 34,300 residents, or a bit over 22 percent of the population, have now received at least a single dose of vaccine and almost 17,000 have had both shots.
The Minnesota Department of Health today reported an additional six coronavirus related deaths throughout the state. 586 new infections were reported statewide, including 26 new cases in Olmsted County. The daily testing total was only around 9,900 and the daily testing positivity rate was about 5.9 percent.
