16 Injured in Crash Involving School Bus
GRANITE FALLS, Minn. (AP) - Sixteen people including 11 children have been hurt in the crash of a school bus and car east of Granite Falls in southwestern Minnesota.
The State Patrol says it happened around 7 a.m. It says a car going west on U.S. Highway 212 crossed the center line and hit the bus, which had 11 children and three adults on board.
Everyone on the bus was taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The children's ages range up to 6 years old.
The driver of the car, a 33-year-old Granite Falls man, was also injured. A passenger in his car, a 28-year-old woman from Detroit Lakes, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. While the car driver's injuries were not life-threatening, the Patrol did not have the passenger's condition.
