The 14th annual “ Cruise “ event that benefits Rochester’s Ronald McDonald House was held yesterday and 1,015 motorcyclists took part. After completing a 130 mile ride, they made their way to the House yesterday afternoon where a check for $106,000 was turned over to the staff. The numbers are down a bit from last year.

The “ Cruise “ was first held in 2000 and only 35 riders took part. They raised $200 that year and gave the money and some teddy bears to the Ronald McDonald House.

Since then, more than 14,500 riders have participated and this year’s contribution has increased the overall total to more than $1.3 million.
