
87-Year-Old on ATV Injured in Crash Near Winona
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - An elderly man operating an all-terrain vehicle was injured this morning in a collision with a pickup near Winona.
The State Patrol says the crash was reported around 9:20 AM along Highway 43, just north of the I-90 interchange. The crash report indicates that 87-year-old Elmer Gilow of Winona was traveling west and crossing the highway when the ATV collided with a southbound pickup.
According to the State Patrol, Gilow was transported by ambulance to a hospital in La Crosse. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the pickup was identified as 71-year-old Kerry Heiden of Rushford. He was taken to a hospital in Winona with non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol report notes that he was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol was not involved in the incident.
